The convention hotel is massive. The dining options inside it are not. Vincenzo is 1.3 miles north.

“Three conventions in Orlando and this is always where our group ends up. The private room is ideal for business and the food puts hotel restaurants to shame.”

The Hyatt Regency Orlando is the largest convention hotel in Central Florida. With 1,641 rooms and a direct walkway to the Orange County Convention Center, it hosts some of the biggest conferences in the country. What it does not host is a dining experience worth writing about.
Vincenzo Cucina Italiana is 1.3 miles north on International Drive at ICON Park. The drive takes four minutes. The difference in dining quality takes about one bite to appreciate. Handmade pasta, USDA Prime steaks, fresh seafood, and a cocktail program built by people who care about their craft.
Convention attendees who have eaten at hotel restaurants for three consecutive days arrive at Vincenzo and visibly relax. The warm lighting, the smell of garlic and simmering tomato sauce, the sound of wine glasses and conversation — this is what dinner is supposed to feel like.
The lobster ravioli is the most ordered dish by Hyatt Regency guests. Maine lobster and ricotta in homemade pasta, finished with lobster cream sauce. At $44, it is the splurge that justifies the short drive.
Handmade Pasta & Italian Classics
Every dish is made from scratch, every night. This is what dinner at Vincenzo looks like.
Hotel banquet rooms feel like hotel banquet rooms. Fluorescent lighting, neutral carpeting, and food designed for efficiency rather than enjoyment. The Amalfi Room at Vincenzo is the opposite — a private dining space with warmth, personality, and food that generates actual conversation.
Seating for 15 to 50 guests with custom Italian menus, dedicated servers, and AV capabilities for presentations. Convention planners use it for client appreciation dinners, sales team celebrations, and executive retreats.
Full restaurant buyouts accommodate up to 150 guests. Family-style service starts at $59 per person, buffet at $69, plated dinner at $85. Every option includes the Navarra family's personal attention to detail.
Complimentary valet for all guests eliminates the parking logistics that plague off-site dinners. OpenTable or call (407) 745-4030 to start planning.
Our leadership dinner for 30 was handled beautifully. Three courses, wine pairings, and a presentation setup. The filet mignon was the best any of us had all year.

Black Angus from Creekstone Farms
Hand-cut, cooked to order, served with truffle butter and fresh sides every evening.
The route is simple. Exit the Hyatt Regency Orlando, turn north on International Drive, and arrive at ICON Park in four minutes. No highway, no GPS uncertainty, no complicated turns. One road, one direction, one destination.
ICON Park itself offers entertainment before and after dinner. The Wheel at ICON Park (formerly the Orlando Eye), the Orlando StarFlyer, and Madame Tussauds are all within walking distance of Vincenzo's front door.
Complimentary valet handles parking the moment you arrive. The restaurant opens at 5 PM and serves until 10 PM. Hyatt Regency guests can arrive early for happy hour or later for a leisurely dinner.
After dinner, the drive back is equally quick. Convention attendees can enjoy a proper Italian dinner and still make the 9 PM networking session at the hotel.
Found this gem during the IT convention. Four of us came for happy hour, stayed for dinner, and ended up closing out the bar. Best evening of the trip by far.

The Dishes People Come Back For
Chicken parmigiana with spaghetti. Fettuccine alfredo with jumbo shrimp. Made fresh, every night.
It starts with one drink. A colleague says there is a good Italian place on I-Drive. The group drives four minutes from the Hyatt Regency. They order Aperol Spritzes at the bar. Then someone suggests appetizers. Then someone opens a wine list. By 7:30 PM, the table is covered in handmade pasta and laughter.
Happy hour pricing makes that first step easy: Monday all night, Tuesday through Friday 5 to 7 PM. $4 beers, $7 wines, $10 cocktails. The Espresso Martini is the most popular order after 8 PM.
Wine Down Wednesday is the convention favorite. Half-off wines by the glass means a table of eight can taste Barolos, Brunellos, and Super Tuscans without a corporate card conversation.
The full bar program includes Italian-forward cocktails, a curated wine list with bottles from Piedmont to Sicily, and local craft beers. Whatever your post-convention mood requires, the bar has it.
This place is a hidden gem on I-Drive. Not a chain, not overpriced tourist food. Real Italian with real heart. The tiramisu alone is worth the trip.

Made the Way It Should Be
Homemade lasagna. Meatballs with San Marzano sauce. The Italian food you remember, done right.
Hotels are good at many things. Convenience, consistency, logistics. But dining — real dining, where the food tells a story and the evening feels personal — requires a different kind of place. Vincenzo is that place.
Solo travelers eat at the bar and strike up conversations with the bartender. Business pairs discuss deals over filet mignon and Barolo. Teams of twenty fill the Amalfi Room with laughter and shared plates. Families with kids order chicken parm and $13 kids meals.
Reserve on OpenTable. Call (407) 745-4030. Walk in and ask for a table. Open nightly 5 to 10 PM, 1.3 miles from the Hyatt Regency Orlando.
